Thinking Otherwise is an independent publication launched in September 2025 by me (Ray W. Aldred), a PhD student in Philosophy and a Senior Data Analyst.

I am interested in neuroethics, AI, First Peoples’ philosophy, love, sexuality, data, and disability. I am also a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta and a descendant of the Historic Red River Métis Nation, and I also have Cree kinship ties through my father, who is a member of the Swan River Band in Treaty 8 Territory.
